Hey Jeremy, do you still have the BotRank data for Bot Blasts 2010-2012? I'd like them for something.

at what point does it become a 2 day event?

When the cost of our event insurance comes down to half of what it currently is... AKA: likely never.

The mall's insurance requirements are a bit excessive, but then again, what we do can be very dangerous if safety precautions are not followed 100%. I'm not going to raise entry fees just so we can afford to stretch it to two days. Also physically one day is enough for me... I don't know how Ed and the NERC guys stay sane over the course of a 3-day event!

I know I did them, and emailed them to Dick with no acknowledgement. I might have it saved on a random flash drive or old laptop somewhere... I'll look this weekend

Jeremy,

Do I have to send in the paperwork and the $$ ahead of time before Bot Blast?

It'll be the same as last year, I assume. Pay the reg fees and sign the paperwork on check-in so you can get into the pits. I'll wait for Jeremy to clarify though.

"$25 per robot (all weight classes). Fees will be collected at the event check-in table. Cash or check. Please do not send payment before the event." taken straight from the event details

Fees will be collected at the check-in table at the entrance to the pit area. Paperwork will also be provided at the check-in table also. As long as you're registered on the buildersDB, you're good to go! This format has worked well for us... Builders CAN'T enter the pit area until your fees are paid and paperwork signed! Just don't take her pen after you sign in. She'll hunt you down and distract you while you try to fix your bot to punish you for it later...

It's gonna be awesome

If no one has claimed it yet, I'd love to do an event report for Bot Blast.
