The bolts seem very far up on the wedges on VC, not to mention that they're far past the front. I'd think that'd make them rather easy to bend up. Maybe change that? It'd also have less side clearance, for whatever that's worth on an antweight.

the wedge length is currently the same as the original. I may shorten it to save on material. the bolt hole are pretty much where they have to be unfortunately, the rails are only .75 tall and the lowest bolt only has about .25 material to engage in.

I suppose, but it could have one more threaded into a nut, I'd think. I dunno, maybe I'm overthinking ants a bit. Also, could I see some pictures of that weapon? How exactly is it made? Like, melted together all the way across the contacting faces, or what exactly? Sounds cool.

he you go
the two plates are clamped together then the torch is moved down the edge gradually. the torch will be preheating the metal at the tip of the flame while it is gently melting and beading the metal engulfed in the core of the flame. as the metal beads you simply move slowly down the edge. takes practice, this is one of the easiest orientations to learn, yet one of the most difficult to get and even weld.

i haven't done that much bot stuff lately aside from watching videos and working on a new servo article. however, i did get a free drill press from ed! that's something to post about.

i'm also going to be working with jim iocca on building a new attachment for thunder child.

it's 2 pieces of 0.0625 4140 steel welded together. very shame spiral-y. i'll also be working with him on a new wedge for slim pickens (the ti is in the mail right now).

I'd say it's very Mephit-y, and also looks like it would do well against horizontal spinners.

Hard to tell in that picture, but it'd be a good idea to raise it above those hinge parts, so it deflects blows that would hit them.

You're making it wider, right? Right now it looks like they're getting free hits on your wheels.

Why is it two pieces? you could make that in one piece with bends. hmmm? Is the second piece a gusset underneath?

Slim Pickens' drive motors were replaced, and it seems to work. Problem is that when I move the stick up slightly, it seems to end up turning like it did before. When I go full throttle, it's fine.

Are you using a mixer? It could be miscalibration of the speed controllers, so one's seeing slightly further out of neutral than the other. If you recalibrate, but still have issues, you can try messing with your transmitter's settings, depending on what you're using.

Do you have the programming cable for your transmitter? Nocturne was having the same problem till I reprogrammed the TX.
