Propane Forge Build
« on: August 09, 2017, 11:22:32 pm »
Been working on setting up a small smithing studio at the house. One of the key elements of that is the 2 burner propane forge I recently built.

Photos documenting the build are located at http://imgur.com/a/acLmU

That is really neat Mike, looks like a nice one. We just got ours up and running recently too.
what type of blacksmithing projects do you usually create?

We don't have an anvil yet, so he's just been using a piece of old railroad track.

Woah, I just saw your Firecracker, that looks battle ready!
Very cool blending your hobbies together. I would like to try that as well.

Working on a pretty random assortment at the moment (more robot parts, learning to forge weld, and a fire poker) and I don't expect that to change. I got lucky and found two good sized anvils at not-bad prices early on but a bit of railroad track's plenty to start with from what I've seen.
