I'm working on a pneumatic flipper bot. ( inb4 drums are better for launching

)
I think flippers are awesome, and I'd love to make one as my second bot.
So here is what I have for a part list for a 100psi system. I also have some questions/comments with some of the parts
[Pneumatic Pistion] -
http://www.mcmaster.com/#6604K15So this cylinder has a stroke of .5" and provides 20lbs of force at 100psi. I'm not sure if 20lbs will be enough to "launch" robots, but we'll see. A bigger bore will of course result in more weight.
The flipper is just the slanted top of the bot. The cylinder is positioned near the pivot point at the back.
[co2 Regulator/Cartridge Piercing] -
https://palmerspursuit.com/products/rock-the-boat-regulator?utm_medium=precommend&utm_campaign=offer&utm_source=contact&app=precommend&variant=12133070791This is the regulator. It takes threaded co2 cartridges, pierces them, and regulates their ~800psi down to 100psi to work with the rest of the system.

$85

If anyone has a cheaper alternative to this that would be fantastic.
[Solenoid Valve] -
http://ph.parker.com/us/12051/en/x-valve-miniature-pneumatic-solenoid-valveI was having a lot of trouble finding a solenoid that could handle >100 psi that didn't weigh more than a pound. But I found this solenoid from one of Anticide's threads on a different site. I'm really happy with how light it is.
[Pressure Gauge] -
https://palmerspursuit.com/products/freeflow-300-psi-mini-gauge?variant=12133158599A small gauge that ranges from 0-300 psi. Only .8oz, which is decent. May be better to use it only to get a feel for the regulator and keep it off after.
[co2 Tank] - Just your average threaded co2 cartridge that you can find anywhere
The total weight of this whole system is about 7.8oz, but doesn't include hosing, adapters, or the flipper panel itself.
So please let me know what concerns you have with these. I'd love to hear any suggestions or alternative ideas you may have too! If you have any questions for me please ask!
