Welcome.
A good starting guide can be found here:  http://sparc.tools/?p=131

As a new builder, I recommend finding an event that you would compete at and then build for a class they have.  I am not aware of anywhere that runs 1kg robots currently.  Also, this will connect you with a local community of builders.  Where do you plan to compete at?

Kilobots are not common, even in their native country. Consider making an ant or beetleweight

The fact you have only one ESC makes me both curious and worried about what it is.

You need an ESC for your weapon motor. Brushless motors will not function without an ESC.

The saw you picked is not suitable to combat, its too small, and has too many teeth. A better option would be a straight edger blade, like these. If you want to shop local, they'll be in the gardening department. For spinners, less is more.

thanks
for starters what is esc?
also i originally thought of the saw for an ant weight would this https://www.homedepot.ca/en/home/p.5-38-circular-saw-blade-30ct-general-purpose-non-ferrous-metals.1000719935.html work?
i want the availability to easily cut through my opponents

Esc is electronic speed control,  it controls the power to the motor to regulate it's speed.

For ants, it seems like saw blade are usually under 4". Going with a 5 increases weight, makes the bot less stable during contact and driving.

You're not trying to cut through your opponents, you're trying to bludgeon them. Think of the spinner less of a cutting blade and more like a pair of spinning hammers. This is why having less teeth is better is because you can feed more of your opponent into the weapon, allowing you to transfer more energy into your opponent.

If you still want to use the saw blade, I'd recommend trimming down all but two teeth on the blade. You'll gain a lot more bite with out sacrificing too much rotational energy.

I would not recommend getting everything off of eBay if you don't know what you're looking for. Many listings don't have accurate information, often have ludicrously long shipping times, and often mislabel their parts.

Of note:

You don't seem to have a radio selected, just the receiver

You have no drive ESC

You have no gearing on the drive motors

You have no weapon ESC(You just have a BEC listed, or Battery Eliminator Circuit. Its useless for controlling motors)

The battery is too big for what little current it offers, and doesn't give a C rating(Vital in determining the safe amount of current that can be sourced from the battery)

I made this list awhile back. Its a basic beetleweight and the costs are in USD, but it should give you an idea for getting a bare minimum product going.

Two Kitbots 1000 RPM gearmotors: 26 USD(30 with hardening)

Two Vextrollers: 20 USD

BEC: As low as 3 USD

Pair of Snapwheels and Snaphubs: Roughly 12 USD depending on wheel size

3S 850mha 20C battery: About 7-20 USD depending on brand

Six channel Hobbyking radio: 28 USD(Around 30 with programing cable)

Cost with out hardware: Around 100 dollars depending on how much quality you want. This is assuming you have all the tools necessary already, and not counting hardware(May add 50 to 60 dollars).

ok thanks
now i know what hardware i want to get and i can stat budegting towards it
how would i go about building the chassy? as i said i am going to go to my local sign shop and see if they have any scrap material they are willing to give up (since its beetleweight it will probably not be too big ) would it be just glueing the pieces together?

No, do not glue them together. I would personally use Kitbots' Nut strip. Or just build the chassis out of a plastic called UHMW, and screw it all together with wood screws.

k well that could have been bad later on
i still havent been able to fin a switch for the power. i am hoping to get the one that you turn to turn on the power to the bot
i was also just searchin around for fun and found this
http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Small-electric-drill-12pcs-bit-Speed-controller-DIY-DC-1-5v-6v-5v-wood-pcb-sheet-/252297141965?hash=item3abe14decd:g:aOkAAOSwgkRVS1Xp
perhaps to be put on the back of the bot as a secondary weapon

A very good battle tested switch is the fingertech mini power switch.
http://www.fingertechrobotics.com/proddetail.php?prod=ft-mini-switch
I would also recommend the Kitbots 1000 RPM gearmotors for the drive motors.  You will need a dual reversible speed controller for the drive motors or 2 individual speed controllers such as;
  a:  what Coboxite mentioned.
  b:  Fingertech Tiny ESC
  c:  Robot Power Wasp
Brushless motors make great weapon motors (some people are starting to use them as drive motors but they match them up with other gearboxes)  You will need a brushless speed controller for the brushless motor.

A few great places to look for Parts for a Beetleweight bot is;
Kitbots.com
Fingertech.com     http://www.fingertechrobotics.com/
Robotmarketplace.com    http://www.robotmarketplace.com/store.html    (for bots of all sizes)

Good choice on the switch. is your robot spinner? If it is I used that pack and a pusher back so you should probably get a higher capacity battery.
